In Germany, local students complete 13 years of schooling (the Abitur) before entering university.
Since the Indian education system (CBSE, ICSE etc) concludes after 12
years, Studienkolleg is the 13th year of education before college admission in Germany.
Studienkolleg. It is a mandatory one-year foundational preparation course designed
specifically for international students, equipping them with the academic and
technical skills required to succeed in a German university.
